As an emerald discoverer
As a gemologist
As a jewelry designer
As a raw emerald discoverer,
my passion lies in finding and sharing the rough emeralds I find.
When most people think of an emerald,
they think of a perfectly symmetrically shaped, green gem.
Many people are unaware of the natural beauty a rough emerald holds.
The natural shape of an emerald is not perfectly symmetrical.
It comes in beautiful hexagonal prisms.
Rough emeralds very often have inclusions of pyrite
or calcite (or both) which are considered ‘dirty’ by some
but if you look closely, I think they look like planets.
These inclusions can show you a glimpse of the universe.
Not enough people truly see the beauty of rough emeralds
and so how could anyone say those imperfections make it appear ‘dirty’?
To me the beauty I see in a rough emerald is different from the shine I
would see in a cut emerald.
The simple aesthetic of a rough emerald fits nicely
with both casual and formal outfits.
I make jewelry with the idea that rough emeralds
can be your very own, one-of-a-kind “everyday jewelry.”
Looking at a ring can give you
a wave of energy for the day.
They can support you can make you
feel like you have a friend.
With this ring, you can feel the direct power
that comes from the emerald stones.
You can also wear emerald earrings ad necklaces
to compliment the green in the emerald ring.
I wonder why people automatically buy two of the same earring.
I think that each individual emerald deserves its own design.
And even if the designs are different,
as they are both emeralds they will naturally look good together.
Just like how any emerald will naturally look good on everyone.
this is why I have developed Honoka’s single series.
you can choose from uniquely different emerald earrings
and mix and match as you like.
Sometimes it’s best to wear a small earring
that doesn’t get in the way
and sometimes you need a chunky statement earring.
There is a time and place for every earring.
On days when your skin is not at its best,
wearing earrings help you feel better.
When you look in the mirror,
you feel presentable and satisfied even without makeup.
Rough emerald earrings are not too much
for lounging around the house
but they are still fit for going out.
When you want your appearance to say,
“I’m here!” a broach is a good way
to make you stand out.
Broaches are heavy but you don’t feel the weight
when they are worn on a jacket or coat
so you can wear a chunky broach
all day without noticing it.
But if you don’t mind the heaviness,
you can put it on a chain and wear it as a necklace.
Necklaces are among some of the oldest jewelry.
In the past, necklaces were worn as amulets
as they were close to the hart.
It was believe that holding a gem close to the heart
protected you from bad energy cured sicknesses.
Today, necklaces are worn more for style and fashion.
An emerald necklace can be worn with a long chain
for a more fashionable and elegant look
or with a pearl necklace for a more casual look
that you can wear with a wider range of outfits.
Bracelets, like rings, are jewelry
that you can see without a mirror.
Although they may be hard to style,
once you find one that fits perfectly,
it becomes a trademark piece and personal to you.
You can style a bracelet with a watch,
and wear it with a short or long sleeve.
